L'INTRODUCTION

What if one day you went to Paris? This WebQuest project answers that question! You'll plan an itinerary for one full day in Paris using the Web and other sources. In Destination: France, the students saw all of the big sights. Where would you go? What would you do? Who would you meet? The choice is yours! You have an unlimited budget to expand your horizons!

LA TACHE

During the next two weeks, you will use allotted lab time and time after school to research and complete a one and a half to two page composition. You will write about what you would do if one day you went to France. The essay should be typed and in the conditionnel. Be creative and be specific.

LA METHODE

Everyone who visits Paris goes to the Eiffel Tower, but what would YOU do there? Where would you eat? Which Métro stops would you take? Our novel mentions only a few details of the fun the students were having. Remember - there is no limit to your fun! The world is at your fingertips with your computer. Take a virtual museum tour. See live webcams. See more than just the post card picture of your favorite monuments. Visit cafés, shops, open markets, and discothèques. Also, you will become a skilled Métro rider to help budget your time.

1. Skim through some websites listed and linked below and decide which places you'd like to visit.

2. Decide on a hotel that is centrally located.

3. Decide which order and what exactly you'd like to do and see.

4. Use maps (web and paper ones) to decide how you'll get to those places.

5. Review the conditionnel tense by doing some online grammar exercises.

6. Using the conditionnel, write your essay.
